Abstract:

Research of protein-protein interaction is important for figuring out the functions of proteins. Giot et al. used large-scale yeast two-hybrid method to build a draft protein interaction map of Drosophila melanogaster. They used computational statistic method to refine the map to produce a high confidence map. The statistical analysis showed that protein interaction network is a small-world network which may represent local proteins complex connections and global inter-complex connections.
